The crew had little to no visibility of the horizon for a few hours, but made for a gorgeous sight.

The voyaging canoe Hokulea made port Sunday, 14 August 2016, in Rhode Island after an “eerie” passage through thick fog outside of Massachusetts. The fog presented navigational issues, including the inability to see the horizon. However, by 10 a.m. Sunday, the thick cloud cover lifted and the Hokulea was able to continue its Malama Honua journey. The canoe is heading for New York City, where it will get a new crew and prepare for the next leg of its voyage.
